Posted September 25, 2023
The 2024 SEBA Atlanta All-Star Shootout was held Saturday (September 21) on the campus of Pope High School. This was the 21st Anniversary of this annual Fall event. The Camp roster featured prospects from throughout Georgia, as well as from the states of Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina. The Shootout continued the SEBA tradition of providing tremendous exposure to all of the participants. The Arena was packed with numerous College Coaches from across the Southeast as well as a number of the Region's top recruiting analysts & media publications that were on hand to cover the event.
The Shootout consisted of a complete day of competition, development, inspiration, and exposure. During the morning session, the players participated in skills stations conducted by a passionate group of accomplished high school & college coaches, and former Pro players. Following the morning stations, the players were treated to a passionate speech from the legendary Courtney Brooks. Coach Brooks, who led Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy to national prominence in the mid 2000's, spoke passionately about gratitude, relationship, and striving for greatness on and off the floor. Fresh off the inspiration, the players moved into 5-on-5 play, where they competed in three (3) full-court games with their respective camp team throughout the afternoon. The camp concluded with the naming of an Underclassman All-Star Team as well a Top 24 Senior All-Star Game featuring the day's overall top performers.
