SEBA 2008 Summer League Results

The SEBA summer league featured 35 local high school teams. Each team receives ten (10) regular season games with a single game elimination play-off.

This past summer saw 6 teams with 9-1 or better records entering the play-offs. The quarterfinals showcased some of the states top 07` programs with Berkeley Prep, Land O' Lakes, Sickles, Tampa Prep, Oldsmar Christian & Chamberlain competing.

After downing a tough Oldsmar Christian team Berkeley Prep faced Sickles in the semifinals on one side and Tampa Prep lining up against Land O' Lakes in the other side. Sickles wore Berkeley Prep down behind the tough play of `10 guard Jordan Davis and sharp shooting of `09 two guard Kelvin Daniels. Land O' Lakes Gators advanced to the semi's behind a 31 point performance and game winning 3 pointer of `09 guard Sean Cooper. The Gators then capitalized on the poor free throw shooting of Tampa Prep (4-17) edging the Terrapins by 5 points in the semi's.

The finals proved to be another Sickles controlled game with great offensive execution and stifling defense. The Gryphons, who held the Gators to a summer league low 8 point second half, put it into cruise control on their way to a 19 point victory. Congratulations to Coach Renaldo Garcia and the rest of the coaching staff.

SEBA 2008 Spring League

The SEBA Spring League finished up with an undefeated Durant, led by the backcourt of Mitchell and Garden, facing a strong Berkeley Prep squad. Berkeley Prep edged Durant for its first SEBA Spring League title. Congratulations to Johnathon Grey, Daniel Nisson, Austin Suarez, Reggie Barns, and the rest of the Buccaneers.

SEBA 2007 FALL LEAGUE - PLAYOFFS

The league concluded with the 2nd seed Talons edging the the undefeated Kings in the Finals. The Talons were led by arguably Hillsborough County's strongest back court tandem of Tarron Stewart and Blake Allen. Both guards controlled the tempo of the game from the opening tip. Evan Ravenal (Boston College) along with small forward Marcus Morrison and swingman Luis Burgos proved to be to much to handle for standout Junior Torlyn Fitzpatrick and the rest of the Kings.

SEBA would like to thank everyone involved for making the league a continued success.

We would also like to thank Millennium Mentors Director Anndrikk Frazier for his continued support and dedication to the Bay area's youth..
